What to Expect at Your First Consultation

Every treatment at Zaretsky Aesthetics starts with a consultation, and the more you bring to it, the more useful it is. Here is what to expect and how to prepare.

What happens at a consultation

We look at your skin, ask what is bothering you and what you would like to change, and talk through which of our treatments are appropriate for you — and which are not. Nothing is scheduled on the day unless you want it to be.

What to bring

A list of any medications and supplements you take, including anything topical you are using on your skin. If you have had aesthetic treatments before, it helps to know roughly what and when. If you are not sure, that is fine — we will work it out together.

Before you come in

Come with your skin clean if you can, and avoid heavy sun exposure in the days beforehand. If you are taking a course of antibiotics or have a cold sore, tell us when you book — some treatments are best postponed.

Questions worth asking

How many sessions will this take? What does recovery look like? What does it cost in total, rather than per session? Is there anything about my skin or history that makes this a poor fit? A good consultation answers all four.
