Microneedling  which is also known as collagen induction therapy allows for a controlled process of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro-injuries or micro-channels in the skin, which triggers new collagen and elastin production. Microneedling is utilized to treat the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, minor trauma scars, hypo/hyperpigmentation, and improve the skin’s overall appearance. This treatment can be applied to various areas of the face and body using a microneedling device that resembles a large pen.

Microneedling is appropriate for most skin types. Your aesthetician will decide if you are a suitable candidate for microneedling before your appointment.

It is important to realize that we cannot stop the aging process, we can only slow it down. With this in mind, results are not considered permanent, as natural degradation will occur over time. Most clients notice a brighter complexion a few hours to days after treatment. After three to five months, you’ll see significant improvement in skin texture and tone.

There is technically no downtime required after Microneedling. After your treatment, your skin may have temporary redness and swelling. This is normal and to be expected. Redness and swelling usually lasts from one to 24 hours.

Most clients need three to six treatments, separated by four to six weeks. Clients tackling deep wrinkles, photo-aging, stretch marks, or acne scarring may see significant improvement after several treatments.
